This group is equiped with an Alcatel Vacuum Deposition System for the production of high quality thin films of different materials, using vacuum evaporation, RF and DC sputtering gas mixing equipment and thickness monitor. At present the laboratory is working in the production of ceramic coatings (NTi, NZr) for industrial applications, and the development of thin-film based high Tc superconducting materials suitable for the production of high magnetic films and energy transmission.
